Funeral minister & marriage officer · Johannesburg & surrounds
Funerals, memorials and weddings with warmth and dignity
Pastor Hannes has walked with families for 20+ years. Whether you are saying goodbye to someone you love or celebrating a new beginning, he will help you plan a service that is personal, caring and true to your family.
Services in English and Afrikaans
Funerals and memorial services
When someone you love has died, you should not have to carry the arrangements alone. He will come to you, listen to your stories, and help you create a service that honours their life — gently and without rush.
Planning with your family
- A visit to your home to talk about your loved one
- Help choosing readings, hymns, songs and prayers
- Help writing or reading the eulogy
- Working directly with your funeral parlour
Wherever you need
- Church, chapel or funeral parlour
- Graveside and crematorium services
- Memorial services and scattering of ashes
- Tombstone unveilings and home services
Services can be fully Christian, with Scripture and prayer, or a gentler, less religious celebration of life — whatever is right for your family.
Weddings and vow renewals
Your wedding ceremony should sound like you. He will meet with you beforehand, get to know your story, and help you shape a ceremony that is warm, meaningful and never rushed.
- Church, garden, farm or venue weddings
- Small, intimate weddings and elopements
- Help writing your vows
- Renewal of vows for anniversaries
- Pre-marriage conversations, if you would like them
The legal side
Pastor Hannes is a registered marriage officer, so he can conduct your whole ceremony and legally marry you on the day.
He completes the marriage register with you and your witnesses and handles the paperwork with Home Affairs, so there is nothing extra for you to arrange.
He can lead your whole ceremony. The legal signing is done by a designated marriage officer — he will arrange this with you so everything is properly registered with Home Affairs.
